What is the 2022 Alberta Dental Fee Guide?
The 2022 Alberta Dental Fee Guide is an optional fee structure established by the ADA&C as a suggested fee guide for dentists in Alberta to follow. Many dental plan carriers will base their plan coverage on fees and codes within the 2022 Alberta Dental Fee Guide, therefore if you have dental insurance, your fees for dental care will not exceed the recommended cost. This helps make dental care affordable and minimizes any additional out-of-pocket expenses patients may incur.
It also creates a layer of transparency between the provider and the patient, allowing patients to know the exact fees for their treatment upfront. Calgary dentists are not required to follow this recommended government fee guide as it is completely optional, however, we have decided to follow the fee guide to help our patients get the quality care they need without concern for the cost.
