This year our team has been busy — visiting schools, walking for warming centres,

Children's Oral Health

Columbia Child Care Centre Visit

A few members of the Inglewood Family Dental Calgary team recently visited Columbia Child Care Centre to spend time with the kids and talk about healthy smiles.

During our visit, we taught the children why brushing and flossing are important and shared simple tips to help keep their teeth healthy and strong. It was such a fun experience for our team, and we loved seeing the kids so excited to learn about dental care.

We’re thankful to Columbia Child Care Centre for having us and can’t wait to visit again soon.

Youth & Community Support

Coldest Night of the Year Walk
Supporting Wood's Homes

On February 28, 2026, the team at Inglewood Family Dental Calgary joined the Coldest Night of the Year walk in support of Wood’s Homes and the amazing work they do for youth in our community.

Even though it was a cold evening, it was incredible to see so many people and local businesses come together for a great cause. After the walk, our team also put together care packages with oral hygiene supplies for youth using the warming centre.

We’re proud to support our Calgary community and look forward to participating again next year.

Oral Health Awareness at Cambrian Heights Elementary School

Our team members Jinu and Nour visited Cambrian Heights Elementary School to deliver engaging oral health presentations to students across all classes.

Through fun and educational sessions, students learned the importance of healthy dental habits and daily oral care practices that support lifelong wellness.

This initiative reflects our commitment to empowering children with knowledge that promotes healthier smiles and stronger communities.

Supporting Stronger Community Spaces
Colonel Walker Playground Fundraiser

Our team proudly attended the fundraiser event for the Colonel Walker Playground Equipment Project — bringing together community members, supporters, and local organizations to create better recreational spaces for children and families.

It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with attendees, support an important local initiative, and strengthen community relationships through meaningful conversations and collaboration.

We enjoy participating in events that bring our neighbourhood together — from street festivals to charitable initiatives, we love connecting with the families and individuals who make Calgary special.

Inglewood Family Dental Calgary has always valued being a part of such a diverse and vibrant community. We enjoy participating in community events such as Inglewood Sunfest — a modern day street fair that occurs in the summer on mainstreet Inglewood.

Inglewood Sunfest is a celebration where you can find local businesses showcasing diverse goods from handmade craftsmen items to vintage clothing, antiques & collectibles, artisan eats, and more!

Dr. Arash also travelled to Cotacachi, Ecuador for a charity dentistry trip with the Kindness in Action Group — reflecting our global commitment to oral health access.

Free Community Dental Clinic Day

In partnership with The Alex, Inglewood Family Dental Calgary put on a free dental clinic day — successfully serving over a dozen families who would have otherwise not been able to receive the care they required.

As The Alex puts it: “It is not the lowest income clients, but rather working disadvantaged families who have the highest needs and are falling through the cracks in our system.”

Good oral health is closely linked to our overall health — affecting blood sugar control, pregnancy outcomes, vascular disease, and even our self-confidence, mood, and productivity.
