If we’ve done a treatment plan for you and decided that a dental implant is what you want and what is needed, you will come in for the surgery. On the day of the surgery, depending on if you’re having sedation or not, we plan around that.
We will numb up the area that we are going to be working on. Sometimes we open up the gums a little bit so we can see the site where we’re putting in the implants and we make a little hole that is big enough for the size of the screw to go in.
We put the screw in, and either bury it under the gum or leave a little connection that’s fixed out above the gums. We let that heal for a while before we put the final crown on there.
